Mint condition late c18th mourning ring for Hannah Curnow who died 26thAugust 1784 aged 94.The ring also commemorates her sister who had died over 40 years earlier.The  shank is enamelled with the inscription for Mary Curnow who had died 18th August 1740 aged only 46.The poignant sepia painted miniature of a woman leaning on an urn couldn't be more apt,'No Lost but Gone Before'.
