Early c18th pearl and ruby Rococo pendant cross c.1730.

British in origin.

The pearls are Scottish freshwater river pearls also known as Tay pearls.

The jewel is set in silver gilt with foiled rubies.

The wonderfully elegant leafy bow surmount retains its original slide fittings and is hinged to the cross which in turn has an articulated drop.

Domed back settings.

Extremely fine condition.

2 .2 inches long, cross 1.2 inches wide, bow 1.6 inches wide.
